Empirical Thyroid (Stregthen) Tonic FAQ

Are these herbs safe for my cat?
Generally these herbs have been used on feline's without any side effects. However we always caution people and pet owners to understand that just like food and because herbs are classified as a food so there will always exist the possibility of a lack of tolerence of the herbs.

If you percieve that your cat is not tolerating the herbs, the first step would be to immediately stop giving the herbs to your cat.

Then you would wait 24 hours, and if the symtoms that were concerning you still existed, you would know that it is not a herb related effect.

If the symtoms do receed then you would need to decrease the amount of herbs.

After the 24 hours, give the herbs to your cat at 1/2 the recommended dosage, if once again you noticed any negative effects, you would discontine the herbs.

Just like people ClawHealer.com recommends that you always tell your doctor, or your pet's doctor any and all supplements you all may be taking!
Do these herbs work?
As an herbalist, I always have to get a little frustrated at this question. Of course they work, HOWEVER we can never be sure of the success because each cat just as if every person is an individual.

NOT ALL MEDICINES WORK!...

For some reason we have lost our ability to be rational with respect to herbal remedies. As a company we wouldn't offer herbs that can't help,  however it would be foolish to claim that they work 100% of the time, that's not logical right?

We can also say that we could not stay in business if we did not offer products that gave customer satisfaction the majority of the time.

How do these herbs come to us?
These herbs are a powder form. They are a 5:1 concentration of raw herbs that are powdred and made into granules.

At check out we offer you the option to purchase empty capsules small enough for cats.

How do I give herbs to my cat?
Buyer beware!

We cannot tell you how to give the herbs to your cat. Herbs are herbs and not part of a natural feline diet!

Everyone knows how hard it is to get cats to take anything including western medicine.

That being said, please be aware that we do not accept open containers. So please make sure that you feel confident you will be able to give the herbs to your cat.

You can put them into capsules (small cat size)
You can mix with water and squirt down your cats throat
You can mix it with food (if the herbs are not too bitter)

But a cat is a cat and no matter what it is a challenge. There are may videos on the Internet showing people how to give substances to cats (Google it).
