What causes a Blood stagnation cough?
This type of cough can follow some sort of trauma, such as pulling the cats collar too tight on the leash, or any sort of contusions to the chest etc.

The second cause is something we call Blood deficiency, which can be caused by dietary insufficiency, or poor blood circulation, mostly seen in cats with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).

  • Recurrent irritating cough
  • Nighttime coughing
  • Cold limbs (due to poor circulation
  • Tongue will be lavender or bluish
Clinical Notes:
  • This cough may be associated with biomedical conditions such as traumatic chest injury, collapsed trachea, chronic obstructive airways disease, and chronic asthma
  • This is a late stage Lung disease pattern, and the formula used here works well with western medicines.
